Social Media for Photographers – How to Market your Photography Business – Photography Marketing Are you a professional photographer that needs to increase your social media presence to boost your business? Are you a semi pro or amateur photographer who wants to start making money or who is ready to start a photography business and become a full-time professional photographer? Learn how to market your photography and boost your photography brand with practical photography marketing tips and advertising advice. Marketing For Photographers is my new series of videos designed to help you navigate social media, build a great photography website, establish a solid pricing structure and increase your photography business. This video is about the social part of social media for photographers. By being social and participating in conversations and sharing knowledge I am able to increase my social currency. Social Currency is important because without it – you are just shouting and nobody is listening. How do you build social currency for your photography business? Start with GREAT Photographs. That doesn’t mean that if you’re a beginner you can’t post… it simply means only post your best. There is nothing worse than the photographer that posts 20 images of the same shot. Only one of them is the best which means all of the others aren’t! So don’t post them. Provide CONTENT and CONTEXT. It is not enough to just post an image. Tell a story. Give some background. Sell it! Don’t kid yourself into thinking that people actually care about your photography. If they aren’t the person in the photo – they don’t care about your photography unless you give them a reason to. If you are a portrait or wedding photographer, when you post the image, talk about how much fun you had with the subject, how wonderful the wedding was, or how thrilled you are that you had a chance to spend time with this wonderful person…. Comments like this make prospective customers think you are actually a nice person and would be fun to work with. Be consistent. Post on a regular basis. I would encourage you to post a minimum of twice a week on every social media platform that you are involved with. It doesn’t always have to be pictures. It could be a cool quote, a link to an interesting article, it could be a short story about an experience or a thought that you had. If you are using social media to build your business this is extremely important and in the next video, I will give you some info on tools that will help you automatically generate content for your posts. Social Engagement. Make sure you reply to all comments and messages. Start conversations. Ask for opinions and feedback. I try to respond to every single comment someone leaves me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. At a minimum, I am sure to like the comment. Here on YouTube, I respond with a comment on each and every comment that is […]

Home Care Marketing Plan: Generate Leads for Your Home Care Business Home “Helping Service Providers Find Those in Need of Care” 848-444-9865 Sign up for our newsletter which will give you a new video each week full of marketing tips that will help you BLOW AWAY THE COMPETITION!! In tonight’s episode of “A Drink With The Hurricane,” I’m going tell you what every single business owner has got to have…A MARKETING PLAN! Whether you’re starting a new business or if you’ve been in business for ten years, you’re still going have to adjust it. You can’t just have a business plan that calls for the staff you’re going to need. You need a specific marketing plan that is going to generate the leads and the customers that you want. I’ve spoken with many new business owners who tell me how many people they’ve hired to create the business. They don’t have any customers but they have employees. They’re paying out the wazoo on all of these salaries, but they don’t have any clients yet! YOU’VE GOT TO GET CLIENTS FIRST! It’s just that simple. Step 1: – Create a Budget When you create a marketing plan you must include the marketing budget. You need to determine how much money you’re going to spend on all your sales and marketing efforts. That includes direct referral marketing, online lead generation, and health fairs and conferences. This is the money you’re willing to spend to generate traffic to your business. Step 2: – Define Your Target Customer Who will buy your product or service and how can you reach that person? Are you looking for Medicaid patients, Medicare patients, private duty, or other insurances? Whatever your target market, you have to define your buyer. Step 3: – Determine Your Geographic Area How large a service area are you going to cover? Some businesses think their market is the entire county. But can you truly cover the entire county? I don’t know…only you can answer that. You need to discern the area you can realistically cover and target that area! Step 3: – Social Media Exposure is Paramount to Success! I can’t stress the importance of social media enough for your marketing plan. Every single expert out there during the past ten years says that if you want to survive in today’s marketplace, you MUST be on social media. Everyone knows that word-of-mouth advertising is the most effective. SOCIAL MEDIA IS THE MODERN-DAY WORD-OF-MOUTH ADVERTISING! Nowadays if you want to go to a restaurant, you post the question on Facebook to see what people think. That’s word of mouth in today’s world. Step 4: – Multiple Channels of Lead Generation! You can’t just rely on one referral source any more. Try billboard advertising, radio advertising, social media advertising, pay-per-click ads. These may be excellent lead generators! Make sure you have a good website, as well as direct referral marketing. You don’t need to do all of this – I don’t recommend putting all of […]
